Proof Load Testing

A Proof Load Test is a non-destructive mechanical test performed on fasteners to verify that they can safely withstand a specified tensile load without permanent deformation. This test ensures that the fastener meets the strength requirements set by design specifications and industry standards, providing confidence that it will perform reliably under service conditions.

How the Test is Performed

  1. Specimen Preparation – The fastener is cleaned and mounted in a tensile testing machine.
